Project Description
Did you know that cockroaches are considered the #1 most hated household pest in the world? About 30 cockroach species out of 4,600 are associated with human habitats. Many of these species are the ones we see in our kitchens. No one wants a cockroach-infested home/office! If your home, office has been infested with these unwanted pests, then it is time for a cockroach extermination!
How We Treat Cockroaches
We’ll go to your house or commercial property and perform an inspection and come up with an effective extermination plan. We’ll most likely perform a thorough fumigation throughout the entire property to eliminate the pest completely.
Things That Must Be Done Prior to Our Arrival:
- Turn off your smoke alarms.
- Clean the kitchen thoroughly, including the floor, range hood, stove, and countertops.
- Remove everything that’s inside your cupboards. You can place all items on the table and cover them with a sheet. Be sure to wash the cupboards inside and out.
- Vacuum all the carpets
- Remove hanged clothes from the closet and place them in your bed.
- All furniture should be at least 2 feet away from the walls.
- Pets should be kept outside. Fish tanks should be covered or removed.
- Pet food dishes, children’s toys, and exposed food should be placed in a protected area.
After Our Treatment is Complete
- DO NOT re-enter the premises for at least 4 hours or unless we specify otherwise. If you’re sensitive to odors or have medical problems, it may be advisable to stay out longer. Consult with your doctor.
- Once you re-enter the premises, open up all of the windows and doors to ventilate the entire property.
- Wash all exposed eating services (table abs countertops) and any exposed silverware.
- It’s normal to see cockroaches several days after the treatment. It may take several days for hidden cockroaches to make contact with treated surfaces. After 2 – 3 weeks, your property should be re-treated. Clearing out cupboards is usually not necessary for this follow-up treatment.
How to Prevent Cockroaches
There are many ways to ward off cockroaches. Prevention tips include:
- Clear Out the Clutter – One of the best strategies for roach control is to keep your house free of any clutter. This means that they won’t have a hiding spot throughout the day. Without anywhere to hide, they will have to work harder to hide their presence.
- Seal Cracks – Roaches gain access through cracks in your home. Inspect your home and seal off these entry areas.
- Eliminate Newspaper and Cardboard Boxes – cockroaches love cardboard boxes and newspapers. If these items are lying around the house, you’re basically inviting them in. They love to breed in these items. Eliminate them from your home.
- Don’t Feed the Roaches – Remember to clean, clean, clean! Don’t leave behind dirty dishes or uneaten dog treats. They’re basically roach magnets!
